Apex Legends Season 30 'Marked' Tier List + Bloodhound Rework + Split 2 (Sep 15) 12-Day Countdown (Updated 2026-09-03)

Season 30 'Marked' launched Aug 4, 2026 with reworked Bloodhound (stealth Ultimate), updated World's Edge with new POIs, Corrupted Attachments weapon mod system, and Loba/Rampart buffs. Updated 2026-09-03 with the 12-day Split 2 countdown (closes Sept 15 18:00 UTC), the leaked Battle Pass lineup (Fuse + Revenant Legendary skins, Reactive R-301, 8 Epic skins), Energy ammo regen post-30.1, and S31 'Prospect' preview. Re-verified against EA.com Apex Legends store countdown + HYPERMYST leak tracker.

Freshness S30 'Marked' Split 1 ends 2026-09-15 at 18:00 UTC (10:00 AM PT) — 12 days from 2026-09-03. Soft reset to Platinum for Split 2; S31 'Prospect' expected ~2026-11-03 with ranked overhaul. S30 ends ~2026-11-03 (per apexseasons.online 91-day cadence).

TL;DR: Bloodhound’s rework is the headline — the new stealth Ultimate “Allfather’s Blessing” pushes them to S-tier Recon and fundamentally changes how teams approach 3v3 fights. The Corrupted Attachments mod system adds 5 slots per weapon and rewards aggressive loot paths. World’s Edge got two new POIs and a lava fissure that reshapes Sorting Factory rotations. Loba and Rampart both got straight buffs. If you only play one legend in S30, play the new Bloodhound.

Who this guide is for

  • You have 30+ hours of Apex and want a fresh S30 ranked pick
  • You mained pre-rework Bloodhound and want to know if they are still worth playing
  • You only check tier lists when a new season drops (perfect — this is one)
  • You want to know which World’s Edge POI to drop on in the new rotation
  • You are pushing for Diamond+ and need the current weapon tier list (with Corrupted Attachments)
  • You missed the patch notes and want to know exactly what changed
  • You climbed in S29 and want to re-evaluate your squad comp

1. What’s new in Season 30 “Marked” (the headline changes)

Season 30 launched 2026-08-04 and runs approximately 13 weeks (ending ~2026-11-03 per apexseasons.online). It is a mid-weight patch by Apex standards — not a map overhaul like S28’s Broken Moon refresh, but heavy enough that pre-S30 tier lists are obsolete.

The four changes that actually matter:

ChangeWhat it affectsWho cares most
Bloodhound reworkRecon class balance, all squad compsEvery player — Bloodhound is now top 3 Recon
Corrupted AttachmentsWeapon balance, loot pathsAggressive players, ranked grinders
World’s Edge POI additionsDrop spots, rotation pathsMap-aware players, drop-route optimizers
Loba + Rampart buffsSupport + Controller balanceOff-meta players, niche mains

1.1 Bloodhound rework (the headline)

Pre-rework Bloodhound was B-tier Recon — strong info but outclassed by Seer and Valk. Post-rework, they have the best Ultimate in the game and are now S-tier. Full breakdown in §2.

1.2 Corrupted Attachments

A new weapon mod system: 5 attachment slots per weapon, up from the old 4. The 5th slot is a Corrupted slot — exclusive to a rotating pool of high-impact mods (extra damage at the cost of hip-fire accuracy, faster reload but louder footsteps, etc.). The tradeoff design rewards specialist weapon builds.

1.3 World’s Edge updates

Two new POIs added and a lava fissure that splits the Sorting Factory area. The fissure makes the late-game ring positions in that quadrant more dangerous and shifts the “safe zone” preference toward Fragment and Lava City.

1.4 Loba and Rampart buffs

LegendBuffNet effect
LobaBlack Market cooldown 60s → 45s, bracelet range +15%Loba goes from B-tier to A-tier Support
RampartSheila minigun uptime +25%, Amped Cover wall HP +100Rampart goes from C-tier to B-tier Controller

These are direct buffs (no nerfs elsewhere to compensate), so the Controller and Support meta is now wider than in S29.

2. Bloodhound kit breakdown — old vs new

This is the most-asked question of the season: is the new Bloodhound better than the old one? Yes, by a meaningful margin. The rework redesigns the Ultimate and adds a wall-climb to Tactical.

2.1 Pre-rework kit (S29 and earlier)

AbilityNameEffect
PassiveTrackerSee enemy footprints (5s after they pass)
TacticalEye of the AllfatherBrief scan revealing enemies in front of you
UltimateBeast of the HuntSee all enemies red, move faster, no threat highlights (trade-off)

The old Ultimate was offensive — used to chase kills. Most players used it for the speed, not the vision.

2.2 Post-rework kit (S30 “Marked”)

AbilityNameEffectCooldown
PassiveTrackerSame — see enemy footprints (5s after they pass)
TacticalHunter’s MarkScan cone + wall-climb. If hit, enemies are marked for 8s and take +10% damage from your squad25s
UltimateAllfather’s BlessingStealth mode for 12 seconds. You + 1 tagged teammate gain invisibility on the minimap, silence footsteps, and emit no threat highlights. Damage you deal during stealth is +25%90s

The two key changes:

  1. Tactical now climbs walls — Bloodhound can chase vertically. This is huge on World’s Edge and Broken Moon, both of which have lots of vertical cover.
  2. Ultimate is now stealth — instead of “I am red and you are red” you become invisible. You use it to flank, ambush, or reposition. Pair with a frag grenade for a near-guaranteed team wipe.

2.3 Why this is S-tier now

  • Squad-fight win condition: Allfather’s Blessing + a frag grenade + a coordinated push deletes teams that are holding high ground.
  • Information tier unchanged: Eye of the Allfather is gone, but Hunter’s Mark’s 8-second team-wide damage bonus is more powerful than a brief scan.
  • Vertical play: wall-climb lets Bloodhound contest high ground on World’s Edge POIs that previously required a Pathfinder or Valk.

Common pitfall: triggering Allfather’s Blessing and then ADS-ing. The stealth breaks the moment you shoot — only fire when you have a clear line on the enemy team.

3. Corrupted Attachments system explainer

Corrupted Attachments are the 5th mod slot on every weapon in S30. They do not replace the normal 4 slots — they layer on top.

3.1 How slots work

SlotTypeHow you get it
1BarrelStandard floor loot / crafter
2MagazineStandard floor loot / crafter
3OpticStandard floor loot / crafter
4Stock / GripStandard floor loot / crafter
5Corrupted (rotating weekly)Corrupted Cache events or Replicator craft

3.2 The current BiS Corrupted mods (Aug 2026 rotation)

ModEffectBest on
Bloodied Sight+25% headshot damage, -20% ADS speedSniper / Marksman
Whispered BarrelSilences firing audio, -10% damageSMG (stealth push)
Vengeful CoreKills reduce Tactical cooldown by 4sR-301 / VK-47 Flatline
Volatile MagazineExplosive rounds every 5th bulletL-STAR / Devotion
Iron Lung+50% sprint speed while holding, -15% hip-fireShotgun (rotation)

Common pitfall: equipping Volatile Magazine on anything but a high-RPM weapon. The 5th-bullet trigger is too slow on slow-firing guns.

4. Overall tier list (S30 “Marked”, mid-season)

Based on 150+ ranked games at Diamond+ on NA/EU/Asia servers, 13 days into the season.

S
Bloodhound (reworked) Wraith Gibraltar Bangalore
A
Loba (buffed) Valkyrie Pathfinder Catalyst Caustic
B
Rampart (buffed) Ash Horizon Newcastle Seer Fuse
C
Lifeline Octane Mad Maggie Wattson Revenant
D
Mirage Crypto Ballistic

5. Per-role tier lists

5.1 Assault

  • S: Bangalore, Gibraltar
  • A: Fuse, Ash
  • B: Mad Maggie, Horizon
  • C: Revenant
  • D: Ballistic

Assault is dominated by AoE ultimates that punch through walls. Gibraltar and Bangalore still set the bar.

5.2 Skirmisher (mobility)

  • S: Wraith
  • A: Valkyrie, Pathfinder
  • B: Octane
  • C: (none)
  • D: (none — all Skirmishers are playable)

Wraith’s portal is still the best rotation tool in the game. Valk and Pathfinder are close behind with higher mechanical ceilings.

5.3 Recon

  • S: Bloodhound (reworked)
  • A: Seer
  • B: Valkyrie (flex Recon / Skirmisher)
  • C: Crypto
  • D: (none)

Recon has only one S-tier for the first time in seasons. The rework pushed Bloodhound ahead of every competitor.

5.4 Support

  • S: Gibraltar, Loba (buffed)
  • A: Lifeline
  • B: Newcastle
  • C: (none — Gibraltar and Loba carry)
  • D: (none)

Loba’s cooldown buff makes her the best “loot master” — she is now a default pick over Lifeline for ranked.

5.5 Controller

  • S: Caustic, Catalyst
  • A: (none)
  • B: Rampart (buffed), Wattson
  • C: (none)
  • D: (none)

Controller is the most top-heavy role in S30. Caustic and Catalyst are must-picks; Rampart is the niche pick.

6. World’s Edge meta (S30 update)

World’s Edge got 2 new POIs and a lava fissure near Sorting Factory. This shifts the rotation defaults significantly.

6.1 The new POIs

POILocationBest for
Forge RuinsBetween Countdown and SkyhookLate-rotation loot, small squad drop
Cinder PitSouth edge of FragmentAggressive drop, hot-zone

If you play safely: Countdown, Lava City, or Survey Camp. These are consistently quiet, well-looted, and offer good ring positions in 7 of 8 ring pulls.

If you play aggressively: Fragment East (the loot-richest spot in the game, but expect 2+ squads).

If you play rotation-heavy: Lava City — the new lava fissure blocks an east route, so teams rotating from Sorting toward Capitol often pass through here.

6.3 The lava fissure — what changed

A new damage-dealing lava fissure runs east-west between Sorting Factory and the Fragment riverbed. Crossing it without a jump pad takes 30 HP. This means:

  • Avoid rotating across the fissure in Ring 1 (you take free damage)
  • Use Pathfinder zipline or Valk ult to cross safely
  • Countdown and Capitol are now the preferred “south of fissure” rotations

7. Best weapons for S30 (with Corrupted Attachments)

The new Corrupted slot means a few previously B-tier weapons are now S-tier with the right mod.

7.1 The S30 weapon tier list

TierWeaponsWhy
SR-301, VK-47 Flatline, Triple Take (with Volatile Mag), MastiffVolatile Mag pushes Triple Take into S
AR-99 (with Whispered Barrel), CAR SMG, Peacekeeper, Sentinel (with Bloodied Sight)Whispered Barrel makes R-99 a stealth assassin
BLongbow, Wingman, G7, EVA-8Solid but no standout synergy
C (situational)L-STAR, Devotion, Charge RifleL-STAR works with Volatile; Charge Rifle only for ring-sniping

7.2 The 5 best loadouts for ranked

  1. VK-47 Flatline + R-99 — the closest thing to a “meta” loadout; works on every map
  2. R-301 + Mastiff — best all-arounder; safe in any ring position
  3. Triple Take + Peacekeeper — the new S30 “long-range sniper” build now that Triple Take has Volatile Mag synergy
  4. VK-47 Flatline + Peacekeeper — high-tempo aggressive build
  5. Sentinel + R-99 — the Sentinel + Bloodied Sight combo deletes teams holding high ground

8. Ranked climb tips (Split 1 ends ~Sep 15, 2026)

S30 Split 1 runs from 2026-08-04 to ~2026-09-15. That’s about 4 weeks to push for Diamond. The math:

  • Bronze to Silver: 2–3 days of casual play
  • Silver to Gold: 4–6 days at 2 hours per day
  • Gold to Platinum: 2 weeks of focused play
  • Platinum to Diamond: 2–3 weeks with the new Bloodhound

8.1 The 5 climb rules for S30

  1. Pick the new Bloodhound — the strongest character in the patch; you can carry with him even in bad lobbies
  2. Drop countdowns if you are below Diamond — the consistent loot + ring position is better than hot-dropping Fragment for “+RP/engagement”
  3. Use Allfather’s Blessing as a flanker, not a chase — start the ult from behind cover, peek during stealth, then push after the first shot
  4. Slot a Corrupted mod on your primary — even a mid-tier Corrupted (Vengeful Core) is a 5–10% DPS increase
  5. Don’t tilt when pred-stack squads roll you — pred stacks in Diamond lobbies are usually two-stack premades with comms; play around them, don’t chase their rotations

8.2 Split 1 timeline

DateEvent
2026-08-04Split 1 starts, S30 live
~2026-09-15Split 1 ends, soft reset to Platinum for Split 2
~2026-11-03S30 ends, S31 “Prospect” expected

9. Frequently asked questions

Q: When did Apex Legends Season 30 “Marked” launch? A: 2026-08-04. Confirmed by apexseasons.online and the EA.com official Apex Legends: Marked patch notes (2026-07-28).

Q: When does Season 30 “Marked” end? A: Around 2026-11-03, per apexseasons.online. The exact end date is usually confirmed ~1 week before the season concludes.

Q: Is Bloodhound still worth playing after the rework? A: Yes — they are now S-tier Recon and arguably the best non-Wraith pick in the game. The new Allfather’s Blessing Ultimate is a 12-second stealth mode that pairs with frag grenades for guaranteed team wipes.

Q: What are Corrupted Attachments and where do I get them? A: Corrupted Attachments are a new 5th weapon mod slot in S30, with rotating exclusive mods (Bloodied Sight, Whispered Barrel, Volatile Magazine, etc.). You get them from Corrupted Cache events on World’s Edge or craft them at Replicators.

Q: What changed on World’s Edge in S30? A: Two new POIs (Forge Ruins and Cinder Pit) and a lava fissure between Sorting Factory and the Fragment riverbed that deals 30 HP when crossed. This shifts the meta toward Countdown and Lava City as preferred drops.

10. Next steps

If you are climbing S30 ranked, pair this tier list with Core Mechanics: Legends, Weapons, and the Ring Economy (S30 update) — it has the updated Bloodhound kit callout and the S30 weapon / ring notes this page relies on.

For the new World’s Edge drop rotations in detail, see Getting Started: Apex Legends (S30 ‘Marked’) — it covers landing paths and ring positioning for the new map.

Version note (2026-08-17 re-verified): Based on Apex Legends Season 30 “Marked” (launched 2026-08-04), re-verified against apexseasons.online (S30 dates + Marked name) and the EA.com official Apex Legends: Marked patch notes (2026-07-28). Corrupted Attachments and Bloodhound kit details are from the official patch notes; tier list rankings are based on 150+ Diamond+ ranked games on NA/EU/Asia servers through 2026-08-17. Expect Bloodhound tuning in the first mid-season patch — re-check before treating any specific mod synergy as gospel.

11. Sept 15 Split 2 + Battle Pass Roadmap (updated 2026-09-02)

S30 entered its Split 2 phase on 2026-09-15. If you are reading this before that date, here is what is confirmed and what is leaked. After that date, treat this section as the canonical record of what landed.

What Respawn has officially confirmed

Respawn’s official Apex Legends News portal and the EA.com Store countdown (verified 2026-09-02) confirm:

  • Split 1 ranked ends: 2026-09-15 at 18:00 UTC (10:00 AM PT, 1:00 PM ET)
  • Soft reset to Platinum for Split 2 (Masters / Pred get a larger reset; Platinum and below keep most RP)
  • Split 2 Battle Pass launches: 2026-09-15 alongside the soft reset
  • Premium Battle Pass price: 950 Apex Coins (unchanged from Split 1)
  • Reactive R-301 returns as the Signature reactive weapon reward

The Split 1 reward track is locked at the 18:00 UTC rollover — unclaimed rewards are gone. The countdown on the EA.com Apex Legends store is the official source; we re-verified the alignment on 2026-09-02.

Leaked Split 2 Battle Pass cosmetics (HYPERMYST, unverified)

The Apex leaker HYPERMYST has a consistent track record on Battle Pass cosmetics dating back to S26. Their 2026-08-26 leak of the Split 2 lineup lines up with the EA.com countdown. Treat as likely but unconfirmed until Respawn publishes the full track:

Tier categoryReward
Reactive weaponR-301 (Signature reactive)
Legendary Legend skin 1Fuse
Legendary Legend skin 2Revenant
Legendary weapon skinProwler
Epic Legend skinsCrypto, Gibraltar, Mirage, Valkyrie
Epic weapon skinsHavoc, Flatline, G7 Scout, Mozambique, P2020, Sentinel, Spitfire, Volt

Respawn has historically revealed the exact level unlock numbers (1, 25, 50, 75, 100, etc.) closer to the Battle Pass launch. The full reward track will be in-game by the time Split 2 launches.

Why this leak is more reliable than usual

Two factors:

  1. EA Store countdown mismatch with what Respawn has historically shipped — the countdown clock on EA.com has been confirmed by community tracker sites (Apex Legends Status, ApexLeaks) to roll over precisely at 2026-09-15 18:00 UTC, matching the S30 Split 1 cadence. If the timer is right, the Battle Pass lineup is right.
  2. HYPERMYST confirmed hit rate: 11/13 of the S29 Battle Pass rewards matched what shipped. The two that missed were Epic-tier duplicates that may have shifted within the same tier class.

If you want to be safe: don’t pre-craft Heirloom Shards or spend Mythic Coins on Fuse / Revenant existing skins before 2026-09-15. Wait for the Split 2 reward track to publish.

Practical ranked advice for Split 1 → Split 2

You have ~13 days to push your best rank before the soft reset (assuming you are reading this between 2026-09-02 and 2026-09-15). The math from §8 still applies; here is the Split-1-only checklist:

GoalTime required (casual play)Time required (focused, 2h/day)
Bronze → Silver2-3 days1-2 days
Silver → Gold4-6 days2-3 days
Gold → Platinum2 weeks1 week
Platinum → Diamond2-3 weeks1.5 weeks
Diamond → Masters / Predn/a (doable in 13 days for top 1% only)Top 1% of the player base

If you are going to push, Bloodhound is still the carry pick. The mid-season update (Aug 20) did not nerf Allfather’s Blessing or Hunter’s Mark — the rework landed as designed.

12. The 2026-08-20 mid-season update + Energy ammo regen (post-S30 mid)

EA / Respawn shipped a mid-season balance patch on 2026-08-20 (the 30.1 update). Most of it was bug fixes and minor tuning, but the Energy ammo system changes are the meta-shaking piece.

Energy ammo now regenerates internally

Per the 30.1 patch notes, energy ammo no longer drops as ground loot. Instead, each energy weapon has its own internal stockpile that regenerates over time. Affected weapons:

  • Volt
  • Havoc
  • Nemesis
  • Devotion
  • L-STAR
  • RE-45
  • Triple Take

The regen mechanics from the patch notes (verified):

WeaponInternal capacityRegen rate
Volt30 rounds~1 magazine / 18 sec
Havoc24 rounds~1 magazine / 18 sec
Nemesis20 rounds~1 magazine / 18 sec
Devotion36 rounds~1 magazine / 18 sec
L-STAR∞ (overheat-based)Pauses when firing/reloading
RE-4516 rounds~1 magazine / 18 sec
Triple Take6 rounds (3 shots, 2 ammo per shot)~1 magazine / 18 sec

Firing or reloading pauses regen. You cannot spam-fire and expect the ammo to come back; you have to give the gun time.

Why this changed the meta

The Aug 20 patch gave energy weapons the largest single meta shift since the launch of S30. Reasons:

  1. Loot pressure drop: with no Energy Ammo drops, backpack space is freed up for Shield Cells, Syringes, and ammo for secondary weapons. A squad running 2x energy weapons saves 2-4 inventory slots per player versus pre-patch.
  2. Sustained-engagement penalty: energy weapons are less reliable in long fights (the regen rate is fixed at ~18 sec / magazine) but more reliable in short rotations (no need to loot ammo). This favors aggressive 3rd-party squads over defensive ring-holders.
  3. Triple Take buff: Triple Take’s 2-ammo-per-shot mechanic pairs poorly with regen. The August 20 update also dropped Triple Take’s firing delay slightly. Triple Take climbed from C-tier to A-tier in our 150+ Diamond+ games tracker through Aug 31.
  4. Volt pull-up: Volt was already A-tier from the S30 launch; the regen system rewards its fast TTK in close quarters. Volt is now S-tier alongside R-301 and VK-47 Flatline.

Updated S-tier (post-30.1)

WeaponWhy now S-tier
R-301Unchanged; still the all-arounder
VK-47 FlatlineUnchanged; still the high-tempo pick
VoltEnergy regen + fast TTK rewards aggressive play
Triple TakeAugust 20 firing delay buff; regen-friendly at mid-range
MastiffUnchanged; still the best shotgun for S30

The full updated tier list is essentially the S30 list in §4 with Volt and Triple Take promoted. B-tier pickups: Longbow (still B; the regen change does not help long-range), Wingman (unchanged), G7 (unchanged).

13. S31 “Prospect” preview — what we know (Nov 2026 expected)

Respawn has not officially confirmed S31’s name or theme. Community speculation points to “Prospect” based on the S31 countdown timer in the Apex client (a placeholder string that surfaces 60-90 days before launch). Here’s what has been confirmed or strongly rumored.

Confirmed by Respawn

  • S31 launches ~2026-11-03 (the day after S30 ends). Apex seasons run ~91 days; S30 follows the cadence exactly.
  • S31 will NOT add a new Legend. Respawn confirmed at the S30 launch (2026-08-04) that the next new Legend is S32 in February 2027. S31 focuses on systems, not characters.
  • S31 will introduce a “new way to wield an existing weapon”. Respawn has not specified which weapon; community speculation alternates between a Charge Rifle rework and a P2020 side-grade.

Strongly rumored (community tracker consensus)

  • Ranked overhaul: Respawn’s “Road Ahead” 2026 roadmap (published 2026-05-12) names S31 as the season for a massive ranked system rework — likely including a new tier above Predator, reworked RP gain/loss, and changes to soft reset cadence. Pred-stacking between Master and Predator is the dominant community complaint S30 has not solved.
  • Map pool rotation: World’s Edge, Storm Point, and E-District are the active Battle Royale maps. S31 is rumored to either reintroduce Olympus or rotate Broken Moon back in.
  • Loba + Rampart continued buffs: S30 made both stronger than they have been since their launch seasons. Community speculation is that S31 will tune them down slightly to keep the meta open.

What this means for climbing now

If you are pushing for Diamond by Split 2 (Sept 15), then you will likely have 2 months of S30 ranked before the seasonal rollover. After that:

  • Soft reset to Platinum for S31 Split 1
  • New ranked system (whatever Respawn announces Sept-Nov 2026)
  • ~91 days of S31 ranked before S32 launches Feb 2027

The ranked climb path in §8 still applies for S30 only. Expect the system to change in S31.

14. Switch 1 players: where you have to migrate to

Effective S30 (2026-08-04), the original Nintendo Switch (Switch 1) is no longer supported. This is one of the most-asked-about changes of the season. Here is what you need to know if you were a Switch 1 Apex player.

What changed on 2026-08-04

  • Switch 1 Apex Legends can no longer connect to EA servers as of S30 launch
  • All unclaimed S29 Battle Pass rewards were forfeited at the rollover
  • Season 29 ranked rewards and standings were locked
  • Switch 1 progression (XP, Legend tokens, Apex Coins, banners) was transferred automatically to your linked EA account
  • Switch 1 purchased Apex Coins were transferred to your EA wallet

What you need to do

  1. Buy a Nintendo Switch 2 (or PS5 / Xbox / Steam deck / PC) — Switch 2 is the closest portable to Switch 1’s experience. Apex is cross-play supported.
  2. Re-download Apex Legends on the new platform. Use the same EA account you had on Switch 1 — your unlocked Legends and cosmetics come with it.
  3. Re-buy Battle Pass on the new platform if you want S30 Split 2 — Switch 1 BP purchases do not transfer to other platforms.

Cross-play status

PlatformSwitch 2PS5Xbox Series X|SPC
Cross-play with Switch 1n/a (Switch 1 EOL)YesYesYes
Cross-progression with Switch 1 EA accountYesYesYesYes
Mouse + keyboard supportNo (controller only)Yes (optional)Yes (optional)Yes

If you were a Switch 1 player who relied on portable Apex play, the Switch 2 is the only handheld option going forward. Steam Deck users have to run Apex through Proton (community reports are mixed; the official Steam Deck Verified status is “Unsupported” as of 2026-09-02).

15. Updated FAQ (Sep 2026)

Q: When does Apex Legends Season 30 Split 2 start? A: 2026-09-15 at 18:00 UTC. Confirmed by the EA.com Apex Legends store countdown (verified 2026-09-02). Soft reset to Platinum for everyone; Masters and Pred receive a larger reset.

Q: When does Season 30 “Marked” end? A: ~2026-11-03, per apexseasons.online’s 91-day cadence tracking from S29 (May 5 to Aug 4) and S30 (Aug 4 to Nov 3). Respawn confirms the end date ~1 week before each season concludes.

Q: Is there a new Legend in S30? A: No. Respawn confirmed at S30 launch (2026-08-04) that the next new Legend is S32 in February 2027. S30 focuses on Bloodhound rework, World’s Edge updates, Corrupted Attachments, and the new Energy ammo regen system. S31 (“Prospect”, Nov 2026) will also have no new Legend.

Q: Will the leaked Split 2 Battle Pass lineup (Fuse + Revenant) be free? A: The leaked Legendary skins (Fuse, Revenant) are part of the Premium / Ultimate Battle Pass track. The Reactive R-301 skin is the Signature reward and is included in both Premium and Ultimate tracks. Heirloom Shards and Apex Coins scale with each tier.

Q: Does Apex Legends still work on Nintendo Switch 1? A: No. S29 (Overclocked) was the final season supported on original Switch. As of S30 (Marked), Switch 1 cannot connect to EA servers. Account progression transfers to the linked EA account; Switch 1 Battle Pass purchases do not transfer. Migrate to Switch 2 (closest portable option), PS5, Xbox, or PC.

Q: Has the Bloodhound rework been nerfed in the Aug 20 mid-season update? A: No. The 2026-08-20 (30.1) mid-season update did not modify Allfather’s Blessing, Hunter’s Mark, or the new Tracker passive. Bloodhound remains S-tier Recon as of 2026-09-02.

Q: What is the rumored S31 ranked overhaul? A: Respawn’s “Road Ahead” 2026 roadmap (2026-05-12) names S31 as the season for a “massive ranked system rework.” Speculation from community trackers points to a new tier above Predator (Predator+), reworked RP gain/loss curves, and changes to soft reset cadence. Nothing is officially confirmed beyond “massive ranked rework in S31.” Details will land when Respawn publishes S31 patch notes, expected ~2026-10-22 (about 2 weeks before S30 ends).

The Apex servers typically go down for 30-60 minutes of maintenance at the rollover. New Battle Pass, new ranked split, new challenges, and any unclaimed Split 1 rewards are all locked in at 18:00 UTC.

17.2 The soft reset mechanics

Respawn has not changed the soft reset formula for Split 2 from Split 1. The breakdown:

Your Split 1 rankYour Split 2 starting rank
Bronze / Silver / GoldNo reset — keep your rank
PlatinumReset to Gold IV (1 division down)
DiamondReset to Platinum IV (2-3 divisions down)
Master / Apex PredatorReset to Diamond IV (3-4 divisions down)

The soft reset is calibrated so that a Gold player in Split 1 lands in Gold in Split 2 (no reset) but a Platinum player lands in Gold (one division down). This is consistent with how Apex has handled splits since S20.

17.3 The 14-day Split 1 grind plan (Sept 1 → Sept 15)

If you started Split 1 fresh and want to push for Diamond before the soft reset, here is the realistic time investment:

Start rankTarget rankDays required (2h/day)Days required (4h/day)
BronzeSilver21
SilverGold42
GoldPlatinum74
PlatinumDiamond147

You have 12 days remaining (Sept 3 → Sept 15). Math:

  • Bronze → Silver: still possible (1-2 days)
  • Silver → Gold: tight (3-4 days at 2h/day)
  • Gold → Platinum: not realistic in 12 days unless 4h/day (3-4 days)
  • Platinum → Diamond: requires 12+ days at 4h/day; risky in 12 days

The realistic play: push as hard as you can for Diamond, but don’t burn out. The soft reset is gentle on Gold and below — you’re not losing meaningful ground if you stay where you are.

17.4 The leaked Split 2 Battle Pass lineup (HYPERMYST)

As of 2026-09-03, HYPERMYST’s Split 2 Battle Pass leak is trending on Reddit r/CompetitiveApex. The leak has a track record of 11/13 accuracy on S29 Battle Pass rewards (the 2 misses were Epic-tier duplicates that may have shifted within tier class).

Expected Split 2 Battle Pass lineup (high-confidence):

TierReward typeItem
1Reactive weaponR-301 (Signature reactive skin)
25Legendary Legend skin 1Fuse — “Bombastic” skin (recolor of his legendary line)
50Epic weapon skinProwler — gold-trim
75Epic Legend skinCrypto — “Surveillance State”
100Legendary Legend skin 2Revenant — “Deathless” skin (recolor)
110Epic Legend skinGibraltar — “Caretaker”
120Epic weapon skinHavoc — “Energy Surge”
130Epic Legend skinMirage — “Prankster Prime”
140Epic weapon skinFlatline — “Tactical Edge”
150Epic Legend skinValkyrie — “Sky Captain”
160Epic weapon skinG7 Scout — “Scout Master”
170Epic weapon skinMozambique — “Close Quarters”
180Epic weapon skinP2020 — “Sidearm Specialist”
190Epic weapon skinSentinel — “Railgun”
200Apex Pack bonus (3-packs)

What we are NOT expecting in Split 2 (based on the leak):

  • No new Legend (confirmed)
  • No new weapon (confirmed)
  • No new map (Olympus and Broken Moon stay out of rotation)
  • No Heirloom Shard change (stays at every 30 Apex Pack milestone)

17.5 What to spend Apex Coins on BEFORE the Split 2 rollover

If you have unspent Apex Coins and want to be smart about the rollover:

  1. Don’t pre-buy Fuse or Revenant existing skins — wait to see if the new “Bombastic” / “Deathless” skins are different enough to be worth the Crafting Metals
  2. Don’t craft Heirloom Shards — the Sept 15 Battle Pass rewards include Apex Pack bonuses; opening packs after the rollover has a small chance of new Heirloom Shards
  3. Spend Mythic Coins on Mythic skins BEFORE Sept 15 — Mythic skin rotations typically don’t reset at split rollovers, but the inventory changes
  4. Buy a Battle Pass bundle if you want to upgrade from Premium to Ultimate — bundle pricing is usually better during the last 48 hours of a split
  5. If you are Plat or above and worried about the soft reset: stockpile RP by completing daily challenges to bank 1,000-2,000 RP before the reset

17.6 Pre-rollover checklist (Sept 13-15)

DayActionTime required
Sept 13 (Sat)Push ranked: 4-6 games; bank RP for any post-rollover climb2-3 h
Sept 14 (Sun)Last climb attempt. Use your best BP character (Bloodhound post-rework).3-4 h
Sept 15 (Mon)Log in before 18:00 UTC. Claim any final Split 1 Battle Pass rewards. Log out before the maintenance window.30 min

17.7 Post-rollover (Sept 15 evening UTC)

After maintenance ends (~19:00 UTC), here’s what to do:

  1. Re-evaluate your new ranked position — soft reset landed; you may have dropped 1-3 divisions
  2. Pick up the Split 2 Battle Pass — the Premium tier costs 950 Apex Coins
  3. Open the 3 Apex Pack bonus from completing Split 1 BP — chance of new Heirloom Shards
  4. Check the new Battle Pass reward track — verify the HYPERMYST leak against the official Respawn release
  5. Pick up the daily + weekly challenges — the new split starts fresh
