SteamOS SKU benefits from the preinstalled 0.7.3+ firmware (Wi-Fi fix). Windows SKU has slightly higher idle power draw (~3 W vs SteamOS ~1.8 W) — measurable battery life difference over a 4-hour flight. The 8.8-inch OLED's 144 Hz is the headline feature; everything below 90 Hz looks wrong on it.

Initial SteamOS SKU shipped with Wi-Fi 7 driver instability on 6E routers
SteamOS 0.7.0–0.7.2 dropped 5 GHz 6E association after ~20 minutes of streaming. Wired recovery only.
Fix: SteamOS 0.7.3 (2026-08-04) ships the fixed driver. If you're stuck on an older image, force 5 GHz instead of 6E in router settings.

Detachable controllers drift slightly out of calibration after 3-4 months
Hall-effect sticks don't drift on their own, but the controller's IMU gyro drifts 1-2° over time. Affects motion-controlled games (e.g. Portal 1 re-release, some racing titles).
Fix: LegionSpace app → Controllers → 'Recalibrate gyro'. Takes 30 seconds. Lenovo hasn't shipped a fix yet — the calibration drift isn't hardware failure.
